Transferring Pike13 Ownership

Selling or transferring a business requires a coordinated transition of legal authority, financial responsibility, and digital infrastructure. To ensure security and billing continuity, Pike13 requires a formal handover process outlined below.

Who can complete these tasks?

  • Pike13 Plans: ✅Premium, ✅Advanced, ✅Essential
  • User Roles: ✅Primary Owner, ✅Owner, ❌Manager, ❌Staff, ❌Limited Staff

Notify Pike13 Support

The current Primary Owner must submit a written notice of ownership change. Email help@pike13.com with the following information:

  • Pike13 Business Name

  • New Owner's Name

  • Effective Transfer Date

Our support team will note the account and guide you on any backend contract updates.

    Transfer Pike13 Primary Owner Role

This is a critical step of the process. The Primary Owner assigned to your business is legally responsible for all communication and contracts with Pike13.

    1. Follow the steps in this article to demote the current Primary Owner and assign a new one: Replace the Current Primary Owner

    2. If the former Primary Owner no longer needs access to Pike13, you may remove their Staff access altogether: Revoke Staff Access

    Update Pike13 Billing

Ensure the monthly software fees are charged to the new owner's credit card.

Follow the steps in the Paying for Pike13 article to update the card on file that pays for your Pike13 subscription.

Send a follow-up email to help@pike13.com to confirm the card has been updated.

    Transfer Merchant Processing

This step ensures client payments go to the new owner's bank account.

You must contact your Merchant Service Provider (e.g. Celero, Stripe, etc.) directly to request a change of ownership.

    • Warning: Pike13 does not store client credit card numbers; your merchant processor does.

    • If the new owner sets up a brand new merchant account (rather than taking over the existing one), your clients' saved cards will not be transferred automatically. You may need to request a data migration from the merchant service provider to move existing credit card tokens to the new account.
