WARNING

Staff Only Sales

Merchandise items are NOT visible to clients on your public website. Clients cannot purchase a T-shirt online. These items can only be sold by a Staff Member through the Store or Checkout screen at your front desk.

Staff may send a Purchase Request to a client so they can make a payment after logging in to Pike13, but the invoice may not be paid immediately.

Options vs. Add-Ons

Pike13 offers two ways to customize a product. It is important to choose the right one:

Options (Required Choices)

Use Options when a detail must be selected to complete the sale (e.g., Size or Color). A staff member cannot sell the item without picking one.

  1. Click + New Option.
  2. Name of Option: Enter the category (e.g., "Size").
  3. Add a Value: Enter the specific choices (e.g., "Small", "Medium", "Large").
  4. Price Adjustment: If "XXL" costs extra, enter the additional amount here.

Add-Ons (Optional Extras)

Use Add-ons for optional upgrades that the client can say "No" to (e.g., Monogramming, Gift Wrapping, or a Protein Shot in a smoothie).

  1. Click + New Add-on.
  2. Name: Enter the name of the extra feature.
  3. Price Adjustment: Enter the cost for this extra service.

Finalizing the Item

  1. Click Create to save the product.
  2. Add a Photo: On the item page, click + New Photo
  3. Select Choose File and upload an image of the product.
    1. Tip: Photos help staff quickly identify items at the register.
  4. Reorder Options: If you want "Small" to appear before "Large," click Edit on the option list and use the arrows to rearrange them.

Testing Your Setup

Before stocking the shelves, verify the workflow:

  1. At the top of any Pike13 page, click Store.
  2. Select your new merchandise item.
  3. Verify: Does it force you to pick a Size? Can you add the optional monogramming?
  4. If everything looks correct, remove the item from the cart.
