August 2026 Updates
New Features
Client-Selected Plan Start Date
When purchasing a recurring plan, businesses can now allow clients to choose their own billing start date instead of the plan starting — and billing — immediately at the time of purchase. This is especially helpful for clients who want their recurring charge to land on a specific day of the month, without needing staff to manually adjust it after the fact.
Please reach out to help@pike13.com to request to have this feature enabled.
Billing Admin Permission
Businesses can now designate one or more staff members as a Billing Admin, giving them the ability to receive Pike13 subscription billing notices and update the payment method on file — without needing to be a Primary Owner or Owner. Any staff role except Limited Staff can be granted this permission. A badge marks Billing Admins on the staff list and profile (visible to staff only). By default, only the Primary Owner has this permission, so businesses must opt in to assign it to others. You can manage Billing Admin assignments from your Permission Settings.
Bulk Change Instructor
When a staff member is unavailable, you no longer have to reassign their events one at a time. From the Schedule page, the existing Bulk Cancel button now prompts a choice between Bulk Cancel or Bulk Change Instructor. The new flow lets you filter by current instructor, date and time range, services, locations, and rooms, then assign a replacement instructor (or leave events unassigned) across all matching events at once, with the option to notify affected clients. Note: the bulk change can be edited afterward but cannot be undone as a batch action.
Membership/Plan Filter for Bulk Modify
You can now filter by Membership/Plan in the Bulk Modify tool (formerly Bulk Cancel), in addition to the existing Services, Staff, Locations, and Rooms filters. This makes it easy to isolate and bulk cancel or modify events for clients on a specific plan — handy if you serve different client groups (like school-age vs. adult students) who share the same staff, service, or room. You can select one or more plans, use the new "Not Assigned" option for clients with no plan, and combine this filter with your existing ones.
Book a Room Directly from the Client Side
Clients can now book an available room on their own — either as a standalone reservation or as part of booking an appointment with a staff member — directly from your client website or app. The system only offers time slots where both the room and any required staff are actually available, and existing capacity rules are enforced automatically so clients can't overbook. This feature is available for businesses using Rooms.
Skill Tracking
- When evaluating skills during a class, a student's most recently trained level now auto-loads, so staff no longer have to manually re-select it each time. Staff can also apply pass/fail evaluations to all skills in a program at once using Set All/Apply to All, and each attendee's skill level now displays individually when multiple students are in the same event.
Scheduling & Calendar
- Week and Month schedule views are now available again on mobile (phones), in addition to Day and List views. This had been a common pain point for staff who rely on week and month views for things like completing timesheets.
- The Schedule page was intermittently timing out and failing to load due to a slow database query. This has been resolved — staff and clients should no longer see the Schedule fail to load or return an error.
- For events created before a Daylight Saving Time change, enrollment could open up to an hour earlier than intended — e.g., a 4pm class with a 12-day enrollment window might open at 3pm instead of 4pm. Enrollment windows now use wall-clock time consistently across DST changes.
- When a client is enrolling and selecting a plan or pass, the list now shows each option's expiration date and sorts with the soonest-to-expire at the top, making it easier to use up an expiring pass before it's wasted.
- When multiple classes share the same start time, they now display in alphabetical order by class name instead of creation date — useful for businesses running age-graded classes at the same time slot.
- The Day/Week/Month/List view toggle buttons on the Schedule page had washed-out, low-contrast text due to a lingering opacity setting. Text is now full-strength on both staff and client views, desktop and mobile.
- Fixed an issue where the Scheduled Price Change card could show the same value for both the Updated Group Rate and the Original Group Rate before a scheduled group rate change took effect, even though the current rate hadn't changed yet. This only affected the preview display — scheduled changes always applied correctly on their effective date. The card now correctly shows the true original rate until the change executes.

Payments & Billing
- The checkout button in the invoice summary previously read "Complete Purchase," which was unclear. It now reads "Checkout."
- The "Cancel Pix" button in checkout was visually disabled but still clickable, which could trigger a backend error. It is now properly disabled and unclickable when it should be.
- Some checkout form fields in the Pix payment flow were displaying English placeholder text instead of Portuguese for Brazilian clients. This has been corrected.
Clients & Profiles
Staff viewing a client's activity log in Portuguese (pt-BR) could encounter an error when the log included a "sent signature request" entry, due to a missing translation. This is now fixed.
Notifications & Communications
- Owners and managers now receive a notification whenever an existing client adds a new dependent through "+ Manage Another Person" on their account. The notification includes the existing client's name and the new dependent's name and age.
- After the recent redesign of the notification counter, the badge would still display a "0" after all notifications were cleared instead of disappearing. The badge now hides completely when the count is zero.
- Businesses will no longer receive a "payment succeeded" notification each time their Pike13 subscription payment processes. This was a routine, non-actionable email — failed and overdue payment notifications are unaffected and will still be sent.
- An error that could occur when generating a cancellation notification for an appointment canceled through an external calendar (iCal) sync change has been fixed.
Kiosk App
New clients signing up via the Kiosk could hit an error at the profile photo step when no default photo existed on the account yet. This has been fixed.
