 Getting Started with Premium Reporting

Premium Reporting gives you a deeper, more flexible view of your business data than standard Pike13 reporting. It's powered by Looker and gives you access to pre-built reports and dashboards, as well as the tools to build and save your own.

If you believe you should have access to Premium reporting or if you are interested in adding Premium reporting, please contact help@pike13.com.

How to Access Premium Reporting

  1. Log in to your Pike13 site.
  2. Click the Reporting icon (bar graph) in the top right corner, next to Settings.
  3. Select Premium Reporting.

This will open the Premium Reporting home screen.

Understanding the Interface

Once you're in, you'll see the following sections on the home screen:

  • Clients & Staff — Pre-built reports and dashboards focused on client and staff data.
  • Financial — Pre-built reports and dashboards focused on transactions and revenue.
  • Explores — A starting point for building your own custom reports from scratch.
  • Personal Folder — Where your saved custom reports (Looks) and dashboards live.

The pre-built reports and dashboards in Clients & Staff and Financial are ready to use right away and cannot be permanently modified. Your own custom work lives in your Personal Folder.

Looks vs. Dashboards — What's the Difference?

Premium Reporting has two main types of content:

Looks are saved reports. They display data in a single view — as a table, chart, map, or other visualization. Think of a Look like a saved spreadsheet query: one focused question, one focused result. Looks in the pre-built folders are great starting points you can explore from without affecting anyone else.

Dashboards are collections of reports displayed together on one page as tiles. If you've used the Insights Dashboard in standard Pike13 reporting, it's a similar idea — but with more varied visualizations and greater flexibility. You can view, filter, and explore pre-built dashboards, and create your own custom dashboards from Explores saved to your Personal Folder.

What Are Explores?

An Explore is where you go to build something from scratch. Each Explore is organized around a specific category of your data — like Clients, Enrollments, or Transactions.

From an Explore you can:

  • Choose which data fields (columns) to include in your report
  • Apply filters to narrow the data down
  • Change how the data is visualized (table, chart, etc.)
  • Save the result as a Look to your Personal Folder

Tip -  Explores are temporary until you save them. Browsing and adjusting an Explore won't affect anyone else or change any pre-built reports.

Who Can See What?

What you see in Premium Reporting depends on your user role:

  • Primary Owners and Owners can see both Clients & Staff and Financial reports by default.
  • Managers can see Clients & Staff reports by default.
  • Staff and Limited Staff do not have access to Premium Reporting by default.

Tip - These defaults can be adjusted on an individual staff member's profile page if needed.
