For businesses offering gift cards, you will be able to track sales in reporting. With gift cards, the product name contains the name "Gift Card", the recipient's email address, the name of the client who purchased the card and the gift card code. When running Invoice and Transaction Reports, you will want to use the "contains" filter for product name. This will allow staff with full financial reporting access to generate reports specifically for gift card transactions.
Creating a Report for Gift Cards Sold.
- Select the bar graph in the upper right hand corner and click Reporting.
- Scroll down to Transaction by Invoice Item and click on this report.
- Click Details.
- Select Filters.
- Choose +New Filter
- Enter Product Name - Contains - Gift Card
- Click Finish
